    Mark Vodicka was admitted as a Barrister in New South Wales in 1986, and is also admitted as a Barrister in Tasmania.

    He holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree from the Australian National University in Canberra, a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Sydney, and a Masters of Law degree (by thesis only) from the University of New South Wales.

    He has research experience in jurisprudence, commercial and international law at the University of Sydney. His law book “International Securities Law” based on his thesis at UNSW is widely used as reference in Australia and internationally.

    Mark has worked at the Department of the Attorney-General for NSW, and from this time has knowledge of estoppel and administrative law, criminal law, and issues of judicial oversight and natural justice.

    Mark has also worked as in-house counsel at the Australian Stock Exchange, Sydney. From this time he has considerable experience in the law of trusts, bankruptcy, international law and finance.

    Mark’s main focus and interest is international and Australian constitutional law, and their interaction with procedure, negotiation, settlement and enforcement. Of interest are Issues of co-operation, relating to complex systems of treaties and agreements, which are often uneven in their operation.

    Mark is admitted to all jurisdictions in Australia and New Zealand.

    Mark has been based in Sydney and Melbourne, but his chambers are now in Canberra with facilities also available in Hobart.
